Colorado Parks and Wildlife
Colorado Parks and Wildlife lists Crawford State Park as open daily from 5am to 10pm and describes a 337-acre park around a 400-acre reservoir.[1]
CPW says Crawford has 66 campsites across two campgrounds and offers year-round camping. A reservation is required to camp, and campers must also have a valid vehicle pass. The campgrounds include level parking, restrooms, water and other developed amenities.[1]
What that means for stargazing
The direct source does not currently advertise Crawford as a dedicated public astronomy site. More importantly, its ordinary park hours end at 10pm. That makes a reserved campsite the clearest source-supported way to remain in the park for later-night observing rather than assuming day-use parking remains available indefinitely.[1]
