Current status
The organized stargazing experience associated with this guide entry has been verified as defunct.
The Nest at Black Hawk itself remains an operating dome-lodging property. This quarantine applies to the stargazing destination/product listing, not to the lodging business as a whole.
Previous Colorado Stargazing Trail listing
The Colorado Tourism Office listed a Dome Stargazing Experience at The Nest at Black Hawk, describing dark-sky viewing, fire-pit gatherings, overnight stays and seasonal stargazing experiences.
That former experience should no longer be treated as a current reason to plan a stargazing trip to the property.
What the defunct tag means here
DEFUNCT / STARGAZING PROGRAM ENDED identifies the specific product that ended. It does not say the lodging property closed.
If The Nest launches a clearly current, visitor-facing astronomy experience again, this listing can be restored after the program and participation details are verified.
