Ouray KOA Holiday itself remains an operating campground, but visitors should not book a stay expecting the former guided telescope program.
Why this page is quarantined
Older tourism and KOA material can still refer to stargazing at the campground. That is not enough for this guide to call the guided program current after direct verification that the program is no longer operating.
Until a new clearly bookable astronomy program is launched, this listing stays in the defunct section and should not be used to plan a trip.
Previous experience
The former listing described guided electronic-assisted observing using a Unistellar telescope, with views of galaxies, nebulae and planets from the campground.[1]
