National Park Service

“Summer night programs are a good way to experience and understand the night sky and nocturnal ecology.”[2][3]

NPS directs visitors to the park's current program schedule to see which evening programs are offered during a specific visit. Ranger programs are primarily offered in summer and fall and may take place at the visitor center, amphitheater or trailheads depending on the program.[2][3]

Before attending

Treat the NPS schedule as authoritative for dates, meeting locations, cancellations and program changes. The park also permits independent nighttime visits to outdoor areas, so a ranger program is one way to experience the night rather than a requirement for stargazing.[2][3]
