National Park Service

NPS says Florissant's 2026 night-sky series is offered with the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society, whose volunteers bring telescopes and astronomy knowledge for visitors.[2]

The final published date is Saturday, October 3 from 7:30–9:30 pm. NPS says all night-sky programs begin at the park visitor center and visitors may bring their own binoculars, blankets and lawn chairs.[2]

Admission and parking

Normal park entrance fees are collected, but NPS says there is no additional cost for the event. These nights are very popular; once the parking lot is full, no additional vehicles are allowed to enter.[2]

Programs are weather dependent, so the park recommends checking conditions before driving.[2]

Current status

The June, July and August events have passed. October 3 remains the final currently published 2026 night-sky event.[2]
