Denver Astronomical Society

DAS says Astronomy Nights begin with an “informative, multimedia astronomy presentation” for visitors of all ages.[2]

Weather permitting, the program then uses Chamberlin's 28-foot-long, 20-inch Alvan Clark-Saegmuller refractor for views of the Moon, stars, clusters, planets, galaxies and nebulae. On cloudy nights, DAS substitutes an observatory and telescope tour.[2]

2026 timing and tickets

DAS schedules Astronomy Nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some Saturdays when available. Events from April through August begin at 8:30pm; September through March begin at 7:30pm.[2]

Tickets are released in stages, with most opening 60 days before the event and a smaller release on the first day of the event month. DAS warns that some dates sell out early.[2]

Current status

This is an active recurring program. Use the DAS reservation page for the actual available date and ticket inventory rather than a static list on this guide.[2]
