Orient Land Trust

Orient Land Trust says its “Astronomy Hosts share the science and wonder of the cosmos with guests.”[2]

The program uses a 20-inch telescope for views of distant galaxies, stars and the rings and moons of nearby planets. OLT says Valley View's high elevation and minimal light pollution create especially favorable conditions for celestial viewing.[2]

How the program works

OLT's current activities page describes the Astronomy Host program but does not publish a fixed nightly host calendar. This is therefore a recurring guest experience whose availability should be confirmed for the dates of a day visit or overnight stay.[2]

Valley View limits daily guest numbers and recommends reservations for the property.[2]

Current status

The astronomy program is active and directly documented by the operator. Confirm host availability with Orient Land Trust before making astronomy the deciding reason for a specific stay.[2]
