Top of the Pines
Top of the Pines says it is “quite far removed from any urban light pollution” and specifically directs campers into the meadow for stargazing.[2]
Its dark-sky guidance asks visitors to minimize lighting, avoid decorative lights, use warm shielded fixtures when necessary and favor red-light headlamps so other campers can enjoy the night sky.[2]
What is currently bookable
TOP's campground is open May 15–October 15 with nine walk-in campsites. The current camping page lists $18 per night for an online single-site reservation and $25 for a cash drop-in, subject to availability and the property's rules.[3]
Current event status
The property's current calendar does not publish a specific 2026 meteor watch, star party or other dated public astronomy event. This page therefore no longer implies an active event series without a source.[3]
Independent stargazing remains part of the documented camping experience; add a public event here only when Top of the Pines publishes one.[3]
