Dark Skies of the Wet Mountain Valley
The September 5 program focuses on the transitioning autumn sky, including Pegasus, Aquarius and Delphinus and targets such as the globular cluster M15.[2]
Visitors can observe through Smokey Jack Observatory's 14-inch telescope, while additional telescopes are set up outside and trained Star Guides point out bright stars and constellations.[2]
Access
The event runs 8:30–10:30pm, is free and open to the public, and requires no reservation.[2]
Weather procedure
The organizer says cancellations will be announced at least two hours before the start time if weather prevents observing. Check its current updates before driving.[2]
