Dark Skies of the Wet Mountain Valley

The organizer's 2026 events calendar lists another Open Solar Observations at Bluff Park session for September 19 from 11am to noon.[2]

The program uses dedicated solar telescopes and filters for safe views of the Sun. What is visible changes with solar activity and can include sunspots, prominences or flares.[2]

Access

The event is free and open to the public. No reservation is required.[2]

Weather procedure

The organizer says same-day weather cancellations are announced at least two hours before the event through its phone greeting and social updates. Check before departure.[2]
